You are the judge: 5 trips, 5 stars!
The feedback is in and we have five, five-star trips, rated by travelers just like you, for you.  Are you deciding how you will spend your 2014 holiday allowance? Whether you are looking to cross off places on your destination bucket list, spend time with a loved one or experience something totally different, we have trips given top marks to help make your choice. Read what our adventurer's had to say about our most recent tours: 1. Walk through vineyards, lemon groves and hazelnut groves on an Orvieto to Rome walking tour "Slow Walker" from Ireland had a wonderful walking experience as few people were met along the countryside which offered peace and tranquility to enjoy.   "The white wine is terrific in this region and we were served local cheese, ham and honey. Hotels varied in quality but were always interesting and the locals were very helpful and friendly.  We would recommend this holiday to a group.  We are looking forward to walking a few more selections of this wonderful trail."   2. Walk the Arran Coastal Way with humour and hard work ACW4"If you have ever done the West Highland Way and had a sense of humour failure on day 3 on the Inversnaid to Inverarnan section, I would give the Arran coastal path amiss.. if however, you enjoyed it, you will love the Arran Coastal Path." Hill Walker, Alan, from Portsmouth gives this tour five-stars "This is some very tough walking in parts, involving crossing border fields and very uneven paths.  Way marking on the route is primitive, involving the odd spot of yellow paint on a rock/tree with a few post's - so make sure you take the guide book that Mac's send you.  Despite having some bad weather on the walk and been knackered at the end of each day, I thoroughly enjoyed myself - there is a lot of beautiful scenery and a lot of wildlife to see." Listen for the oyster catchers and curlews, and as you look out to sea, you will see gannets diving and seals resting on rocks.  Overall, "Great fun but hard work." 3.  Find your way on the Hilltop Villages of Dordogne DD3 "Occasional Traveling" Couple from the USA found their way on this relaxing and fun week walking the Dordogne trails.  "He [my husband] texted our grown children "we might get lost, but we always find our way." I like to think that is an appropriate description of our marriage.  Our problem solving skills were enhanced in a playful and exotic way."  What stood out the most? "What a beautiful location populated with friendly people.  The food was outstanding and secured French cuisine's high placement on any culinary list. What a treat!" 4. Delight your inner foodie on the Great Glen Way in Style Log Fire"When you combine the breathtaking scenery of the Scottish Highlands with the guarentee that each evening would be as comfortable as the night before, you have a terrific way to experience the Lochs and canal system in a manner no tour bus could equal."  proclaims, Avid Adventurer,  Shelby from Santa Fe, NM, about her September in Scotland.  "The best part of the package, though, has to be the opportunity it offers to enjoy the best of the Scottish cuisine.  Any foodie will find every night's possibilities unmatched in quality, local sourcing and preparation.  Literally, five stars at every meal!" 5. Enjoy wine, red octopus, beer and local artisan bread on the Camino de Santiago 280-street-band-logornoWith limited time, the 7 day Stage 5 Camino tour made for a magical holiday for Larry and Karen, USA.  "This gave us a few days in Madrid before starting the walk and several days after to sample Barcelona, a good fit for a two week holiday." Despite staying in a small and old room in O Cebriero, they enjoyed a local festival that brought together thousands of people.  "What a magnificent evening: Wine, food, music until 5 a.m. Who cares how many beds there are or whether your elbows touched the sides of the bathroom.  The hotel was clean and the bed was comfortable. And someone was sober enough to get up and prepare a magnificent breakfast. That's the way to start a camino!" We hope these five-star reviews provide inspiration and insight from our adventurer's.  Your feedback is invaluable and allows us to ensure our tours are meeting (and hopefully exceeding!) your expectations.
