Walking Holidays for Solo Walkers

Solo Walkers

  • Meeting fellow pilgrims, exchanging stories and turning strangers into friends for life on the Camino de Santiago
  • Hike a well-waymarked and established trail, like Hadrian's Wall Path, for added confidence
  • Following peaceful trails through the idyllic landscapes of the Dordogne
  • Hiking through Scotland’s heartland on the Great Glen Way
  • Enjoying a circular walk through the beautiful English countryside on the Cotswold Trail
  • Explore the remote Portuguese coast on a popular trail, the Camino Coastal Way

Whether you choose to walk alone to meet new people or need to get some time to yourself, many of our trips are suitable for solo walkers.

The following trips are recommended by our team, however, there are plenty other Macs Adventure holidays for solo travellers, so it's always a good idea to speak to our specialists. You may want to head somewhere remote for space and solitude, or you may prefer a popular trail with lots of fellow walkers around for company (and to keep you confident you're on the right path!). Either way, completing a walking trail on your own gives the ultimate sense of achievement, and is a great way to travel solo.
