Adventure of the Week - Greenland

The largest non-continental island in the world is a travel destination for those who seek adventure. Greenland is made up of vast landscapes that highlight the beauty and brutality of nature whilst its position above the Arctic Circle means you can watch the Northern Lights one day and a glacier calving the next. Dramatic, awe-inspiring and unique there are plenty of opportunities for exploration on our South Greenland Adventure tour.

Small Group Guided

The Greenland tour differs to the majority of our tours as it follows a small group, guided format (up to 12 people) led by an expert guide. The limited infrastructure, safety concerns and logistical difficulties makes independent travel difficult and guided tours most suitable. Although we prefer to offer self guided tours, the fact remains: this is a unique journey in the wildest country in the northern hemisphere. The week involves walks alongside fjords, through valleys of brightly coloured Arctic flowers, across the tundra, and on a glacier. Visit the villages, towns and small cities on the west coast to learn about daily life on the sparsely populated island before getting the best views of the scenery from the water or the air.

There are still spaces left on tours departing on the 8th August 2017 and 22nd August 2017 for this journey of a lifetime.

Why Greenland?

Unique scenery: The landscape, fjords, glaciers and valleys are like no other. They will fill your eyes and mind with many long-lasting memories of beauty and geological highlights.
Tranquil: Greenland is remote and sparsely populated. Its landscape is often empty and allows visitors the chance to get away from it all.
Natural highlights: Greenland's location means you can see the summer’s midnight sun and is one of the best places to see the Northern Lights.
