New Walking Holidays in the Cotswolds

21 Apr , 2011

Although I only spent a few days walking in the Cotswolds in March, I was blown away by the beauty of the Cotswold countryside and villages. Although I knew that the Cotswolds were beautiful I really had no idea of just how stunning the combination of built and natural landscape really is.

Not only is the scenery spectacular but an excellent network of footpaths criss cross the Cotswolds linking the prettiest towns and villages, Each town and village boast a range of charming B&B’s, inns, pubs and hotels of the highest quality, which make the Cotswolds perhaps the perfect destination for a walking holiday.

I was totally inspired by my time walking in the Cotswolds and we have added several fantastic new Cotswold walking holidays to our range of self guided walking holidays in England.

  • The Cotswolds in Style is a circular walking tour of the North Cotswolds featuring the very best country hotels and inns. Perfect for those who like every creature comfort when walking.
  • The Cotswold Trail follows the same route as The Cotswolds in Style, visiting the prettiest villages in the North Cotswolds, but uses charming B&B’s and Inns for a more personal and less costly experience. You can also choose from three different itineraries so the daily walking distances can be tailored to your needs.
  • The Cotswold Way remains a firm favourite and we offer a number of outstanding walking holidays on this National Trail.

And even more trips are coming soon!

You can find full details of all our Cotswold Walking Holidays here, but first here I am telling you a bit more about the Cotswold Way.

With a passion for adventure and active travel, I firmly believe that the very best way to discover a country, its landscape, culture and people is under your own steam. I have travelled extensively in Southern and East Africa, Australasia, Europe and Asia and spend my time walking, climbing, mountain biking and kite-surfing in Scotland and around the world. I love living in Glasgow with my wife, son and daughter, although I am trying unsuccessfully to convince them to move closer to my favourite kite surfing spot in Troon.
