Activity Level & Terrain
This tour is graded easy to moderate. The trails are a combination of dirt trails, gravel tracks and quiet country roads. In Jersey, there are 45 miles of “green lanes” where the maximum speed of traffic is only 15mph and where priority is given to walkers. In Sark, there are no motorised vehicles and in Guernsey, your walk is on the coastal path. This tour is suitable for walkers with good physical fitness.
Navigation
In order to find your way you will need to be able to follow route notes and navigate reading a map. Some of the walks will be waymarked, especially when you walk along either the Jersey or Guernsey Coastal Paths, however this is not always the case. We will provide you with comprehensive route notes, detailed 1:25,000 maps and GPS tracks for those who like to take a GPS unit.
Accommodations
The accommodations provided on this tour are a mix of hand-picked 4* and 5* hotels. We have provided names of accommodations, however, those listed are just examples and during busy times we may place you elsewhere. They will be of similar quality.

When To Go
Any time of year would be great for walking in this area. We offer this tour in the spring, summer and autumn. Advantages in the spring are the beautiful spring flowers in bloom. Temperatures will probably be at their best in the summer and in the Autumn/Fall it will be nice and peaceful with fewer other tourists.
Getting to the Start
You can get to Jersey by fast ferry or by flying. Jersey Airport is served by a few different airlines, such as Flybe and Easyjet and they fly from varying locations in the UK. A transfer from the airport to your hotel in St Helier is included. Please make sure to give us your flight arrival details so that we can make this arrangement for you.
St Helier is also accessible by ferry from either Poole, Portsmouth or Weymouth and from the French mainland in St Malo. Condor Ferries is the operator of these ferries and will find schedules and costs on their website. Upon arrival into the port of St Helier, a taxi will be waiting to take you to your hotel. Please provide your ferry arrival details.
Getting from the End
Guernsey Airport is served by three different carriers, Flybe (who fly to numerous UK airports from Guernsey), Aurigny and Blue Islands (flying from Southampton)
Guernsey Airport is only a few miles away from St Peter’s Port. An included transfer will bring you from your hotel on the morning of Day 8 to the airport. Please provide us with your departure details so that we can make these arrangements for you.
It is also possible to get from St Peter’s Port by ferry. Condor Ferries operates to Poole, Portsmouth in the UK and to St Malo in France. There is also a passenger-only ferry to various ports in Normandy during the summer months, operated by Manches Iles Express.
An included transfer from your hotel to the port is included. Please provide us with your departure details so that we may arrange this transfer for you.
Luggage Transfer
Your bags will be transferred from your accommodation as per your itinerary and moved onto your next overnight accommodation. We ask you to limit your luggage to one bag of up to 20kg per person.
When taking the ferry from Jersey to Guernsey it is required that you take your luggage with you on the ferry. When you arrive in St Peter’s Port you will also need to take your luggage to the first hotel. Therefore we highly recommend that you only bring one medium-sized suitcase in anticipation of this.
General Information
The distances and ascents/descents are approximations of the recommended routes.
Equipment
Please be prepared by packing all necessary items, for example. proper rain gear, sun hat, sunscreen. Your information pack has detailed advice and a kit list on what to take. This includes good waterproof gear, walking shoes/boots, and lots of other useful bits and bobs.
