Photo Journal of Brian's Outer Hebrides Adventure

One of our customers Brian shares his photo diary from a very sunny Outer Hebrides Island Hopscotch tour last August.

As you can see the weather was unbelievable every day, I could not believe my luck...in Scotland!!! My favourite walk was climbing Ceapabhal, the view from the summit was the best I have ever seen.

All the accommodation that I stayed in was fantastic. After the Heathbank Hotel on Barra which did the best seafood meals I have ever had. My second favourite was the Langass Lodge on North Uist, an old Victorian hunting lodge, very posh, amazing food.

All the ferry journeys were great fun and a real adventure, prebooked tickets are a must, a lot of people were turned away as the ferries were full every day. The whole holiday was perfect, everything worked to perfection, never had any issues anywhere.

Due to Covid19 it was a tad surreal as everybody was very friendly but at the same time keeping their distance which was understandable but it never spoiled a thing.

Also on top of Heaval on Barra, Barra was amazing especially my first stopover, the Heathbank hotel, owners were so friendly and the food was awesome.
The beach at Vatersay
The beach at Vatersay which was the highlight of the trip as I had the whole beach to myself and it was 23 degrees celsuis!

The walk in to the Eagle Observatory on Harris, another highlight, spotted several eagles on another sunny day and again I had the whole place to myself.

We probably all want to book a sunny trip walking in the Outer Hebrides after looking at those images. Check out the tour Brian went on Outer Hebrides Island Hopscotch or all of our Outer Hebrides Tours here.
