The Balearic Islands are simply littered with beautiful beaches perfect for a dip in the sea after a long day of cycling or walking, but here we list our top 8!
Cala Deia, Mallorca - Surrounded by rocky cliffs, this tiny cove lies near the artistic town of Deia. Popular for snorkelling due to it's rocky nature, it's the perfect place to relax whilst in the Sierra de Tramuntana.
Es Trenc, Mallorca - At nearly 2km long this long white sandy beach with turquoise waters is perfect for a refreshing dip in the sea!
Sa Calobra, Mallorca - Part of the appeal of this beach is the fact that it is pretty difficult to get to, in the heart of the Sierra de Tramuntana. However, we recommend taking a boat trip from Port de Soller whilst on our Mallorca Coast & Mountain Trails tour. Its worth the time to relax at this idyllic cove between two steep rocky cliffs.
Sa Calobra Bay
Cala Turqueta, Menorca - The aptly named Turqueta Bay on the sheltered south coast of Menorca is famous for its azure-coloured waters. Due to its sheltered location its perfect for swimming and snorkelling!
Moon Beach, Ibiza - so called because of it’s rocky moon-like landscape featuring small craters, this place is most easily reached by foot, so is a real hidden secret which you can see whilst walking along the north coast on our Secret Trails of Ibiza & Formentera tour!
Cala Mestella, Ibiza - Another little hidden gem in Ibiza this small sheltered inlet is perfect for swimming! Enjoy some tasty grilled fish and fresh salad at the “El Bigotes” chiringuito.
Cala Xarraca - one of Ibiza's most isolated bays, Cala Xarraca lies on the north coast of the island surrounded by lush green forest and rocky paths. A short walk on the paths surrounding the beach will reward you with fine views of the entire north coast!
Platja de Ses Illets
Platja de Ses Illets, Formentera - Named more than once as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, this idyllic beach with turquoise waters and white, fine sand lies at the extreme north end of the island of Formentera. We highly recommend hopping on a bike and taking a ride out here for the day!
