Activity Level & Terrain
This cycle tour is graded easy to moderate. The first three days cycling is along flat roads, across the Veneto and Friuli plain, and the last three stages on slightly hillier sections. The terrain is 92% asphalt and 8% unpaved.
Navigation
This is an independent self-led tour. You will have a detailed welcome briefing in English and bike fitting. We supply you with detailed route books and maps so you can easily follow the route as well as a service hotline in the event of a problem.
Accommodations
You will stay in comfortable 3* hotels and sometimes we use a few 4* hotels. All rooms are en-suite.
Meals
A buffet breakfast is included at your hotel each day. Lunch and dinner are not included but always available at your hotel or nearby. You can take a picnic or stop for lunch each day.
Single Rooms & Solo Cyclists
Single rooms are available, although a supplement is payable.This trip is available to solo cyclists.

When To Go
This tour is available from early April to mid-July, and from mid-August to early October, to start on Saturdays only. Generally you will find mild temperatures in spring and autumn, while in summer (July-August) the weather is definitely hotter and humid with refreshing rain showers every now and then. Always make sure to carry plenty of water to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen and a sunhat on hot days. Please note that no departures are possible between 19th July and 21st Aug.
Departures for groups of over 5 cyclists are possible on a request basis, depending on availability, on Sundays during the season please contact us for details.

Getting to the Start
Venice is served by many airports in northern Italy: Venice (VCE), Treviso (TSF), Verona (VRN). You can connect to Mestre by bus or train, we recommend the travel website Rome2Rio to assist with your travel planning.
Getting from the End
The easiest way to return from Porec to Venice is by ferry, which takes approximately 2.5 hours and costs around €60 to €80. We can make this reservation for you. If you wish to depart from closer to Porec, Pula airport is about 50 km from Porec and there are also bus connections to Trieste airport.
Luggage Transfer
Your bags will be transferred between your accommodation as per your itinerary. We ask you to limit your luggage to one bag of up to 20kg / 44lbs per person.
Equipment
Rental Bikes (not included): 27-gear Shimano Deore unisex bikes. Tyres are puncture-proof, and bikes are fully serviced and equipped with a trip computer, sidebag, water bottle and padlock. Additionally, you are supplied with a map holder/front bag (1 per bike) and a repair kit (1 per pair). It is also possible to bring your own bike if you prefer. E-bike hire is available subject to availabilit. Please note helmet hire is not included, but is available at a small charge, we recommend you bring your own helmet as this will likely be more comfortable.
Travel Insurance
It is a requirement of booking this tour with Macs Adventure that you have suitable travel insurance which covers you for the activity, emergency evacuation and hospital care.
