Activity Level & Terrain

The route has been graded as moderate overall based on the distances and ascents each day. The routes are in mountainous terrain and you should be a regular hiker with a good level of stamina and fitness, particularly with the additional effort needed to carry your large backpack for much of the hiking programme.

Navigation is straightforward with detailed route notes upon arrival, and the GPX tracks provided in our app. You will be hiking on a very well-established trail with other hikers and good signposting, so it will be relatively easy to find your way.

Your holiday includes a hotel in Puerto Natales where you'll find comfortable, stylish rooms with a private bathroom. In the Torres del Paine National Park you'll stay in traditional Patagonian hiker's refugios, where there's a wonderful sense of shared achievement and great conversation about your hiking highlights each day. Refugios include a bed in a shared room (maximum 6/8 beds per room) with sleeping bag, locker and shared bathrooms.

Single Rooms & Solo Walkers

If you require single rooms in Puerto Natales, we would be happy to accommodate you although there is a single room supplement payable. Unfortunately, this tour is not available to solo walkers.

A breakfast will be provided by your hotel in Puerto Natales. These usually consist of a 'continental' selection of cereals, bread, ham, cheeses and fruit, as well as a range of hot and cold drinks. In Torres del Paine National Park, all meals are included. Breakfast and evening meals are served at the refugios each day and a packed lunch box will be provided for your hiking days.
