A lot of travelers are understandably looking for advice on when and where to travel. Each of our tour webpages now includes a "Travel Restrictions" button - click away and add your origin and destination to see the latest advice.

Of course, we don't make the rules! We can only provide information based on the latest official government advice, and we always recommend you check the official travel advice for any destination you are considering.

Any plans you do make are backed up by our peace of mind guarantee, so if you do need to make changes, you can do so free of charge!

Travel to the UK (Until 3 Oct 2021)

A traffic light system (red, amber, green) applies rules to different countries in the UK. This is reviewed every 3 weeks. Currently amber list rules (includes the USA) allow vaccinated travelers to arrive without quarantine (2x PCR tests are needed, along with a passenger locator form). Read more here or visit England's official advice on travel from another country or Scotland's international travel adviceIf you plan to travel to Wales from outside the UK, see the official guidance for Wales >. For travel to Northern Ireland from outside the UK check the current rules here >

Travel to the UK (After 4 Oct 2021)

For England, the government advice states: "From 4am Monday 4 October 2021, the rules for international travel to England will change from the red, amber, green traffic light system to a single red list of countries and simplified travel measures.". The US and Canada are not currently on the UK's red list.

Anyone fully vaccinated travelling into England from a non-red list country will need to book (in advance) and pay for a Covid-19 test on Day 2 after arrival, and complete a locator form within 48 hours before arrival. Quarantine restrictions and other rules apply if arriving from a red list country or if you are not fully vaccinated.

The government in Scotland is suggesting the same simplified format of just one red-list, but you may additionally need a pre-departure Covid-19 test before arriving in Scotland from a non-red list country, read more on the updated Scotland advice here >. Travel into Wales or Northern Ireland may also vary.

Travel to the European Union

In August 2021 the EU recommended its member countries limit travel from the USA. This is not a requirement, but it is decision for the governments of the individual countries. Adventures are scheduled to proceed as planned (unless we have been directly in touch with the lead traveler), and travelers from the USA should continue to monitor their destination, and let us know if any changes to policy should arise which may affect your ability to travel. Please note: Many countries (such as Austria, Switzerland and Italy) have recently updated their policies to require proof of vaccination and/or testing to avoid quarantine measures.

From the USA, check country specific Covid-19 travel information here.
