When To Go

The Amalfi Coast & Sorrento walking holiday is available from April to October. However this tour does not run from the end of July to the end of August as this is when the area is the hottest and also the most difficult time to secure availability at the hotels. You can start your holiday on any date in the season.

Peak season availability: Please note that July and September are extremely busy times along the Amalfi Coast and early booking is essential (ideally 6 months in advance) in order to secure the best choice accommodation. If you are interested in travelling during these months, then we may require some flexibility regarding your dates and itinerary. We will do our best to provide a suitable alternative in line with our usual tour. In the instance that our usual accommodation is not available, a supplement will be payable. Thank you for your cooperation.

Time of Year

Spring in the Amalfi Coast is sublime and April, May and June are absolutely lovely. Autumn is a perfect time of year as the landscape is made up of a gold and red pallet so September and October are unmissable.

Busy Summer Period: Between the last week of July and the first 2 weeks of August the Amalfi Coast is extremely busy due to the Italian holidays, and it is also very hot for walking at this time. For these reasons we suggest you ensure you travel outside this period if at all possible.

Getting to the Start

We recommend that you fly to info Naples Airport as this is the closest to the Amalfi Coast. From there you can take a Curreri bus from outside the terminal to Sorrento which takes 1H15.

From Sorrento take a SITA bus to Amalfi which takes around 1H40.  Alternatively, we can arrange private transfers at an additional cost.

Getting from the End

On return you would simply have to take the Curreri bus from Sorrento to Naples.

Luggage Transfer

Baggage transfers are included on this tour as per the itinerary on days 3 and 5, so you only walk with a small back-pack.
