Walk along the incredible High Coast Trail, passing mystical forests, dramatic mountain tops and breath-taking panoramic views of the Gulf of Bothnia. The High Coast was created in the aftermath of the last Ice Age, when the ice cap melted and the land was elevated by over 800 metres. This dramatic change created a unique environment and the area is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site. On this trip, you will be walking 65 km of the High Coast Trail, exploring enchanted forests and dramatic coastal scenery. Each night you will receive a warm welcome at your accommodation, offering Swedish hospitality and knowledge about the local history.
If you want to experience true wilderness while still staying in comfortable B&B’s and guesthouses, this is your kind of trip. The High Coast has been compared to New Zealand and has much to offer in terms of panoramic views and mystical forests. A certain level of fitness is required as the trail has many ups and downs.

This walk is graded easy to moderate as the terrain is undulating and includes some strenuous hills. However, if you are an active person and undertake preparation before the trip, this walk should be manageable.
