Navigating is easy using your handmade guidebook provided on arrival. The guidebook provides route notes, and turn-by-turn directions. There are also suggestions on places to eat, points of interest, and local history You will also have 24/7 telephone support from us here at Macs Adventure.
One of the highlights of this tour is the high standard of accommodation. You will stay in carefully selected 3-4* small hotels. Your room will always have an ensuite or private bathroom. A delicious breakfast is also included.
If you require single rooms within your party we will always try and accommodate you subject to availability. A single supplement is payable.
A hearty breakfast is included each morning as well as 3 lunches. Lunch is included on days 2, 3, and 4. The remaining lunches and dinners are not included so you are free to choose from the surrounding options. Dinner is available either at your accommodation or at nearby restaurants.

When To Go
We offer this trip year-round and there are plenty of reasons to visit in each season based on your goals. Throughout the year the average high temperatures are in the upper 60s Fahrenheit, with lows in the 40s and 50s.
This trip is available any time of year and can depart any day of the week. We suggest booking as far in advance as possible for a better chance of securing your desired dates.
Getting to the Start
From the airport, it is roughly 1.5 hours by bus to Half Moon Bay. Alternatively, it is about a 25-minute taxi ride from San Francisco International, and farther if you are arriving into one of the other airports in the Bay Area.
Getting from the End
The BART train can take you from the city center to either of these airports.
Baggage transfer from San Francisco to Sonoma is included in the cost of your holiday. We ask you to limit your luggage to one bag of up to 22 kg / 50lbs per person.

ItineraryDay 1 Arrive in Half Moon Bay and Overnight
Your adventure begins in the gorgeous coastal city of Half Moon Bay, known for its namesake shape and big-wave surfing. After arrival to your accommodation, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the downtown area which boasts numerous shops and excellent restaurants.
This central hotel in Half Moon Bay is as eclectic as the town itself, with unique room layouts and European elegance to ensure a memorable stay.
After a hearty breakfast, enjoy a full day along the coast as you walk on the mixed surface Half Moon Bay Coastal Trail, reveling in views of the rugged coastline, sandy beaches, and turquoise waters. Your walk finishes with a stroll through the Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, which boasts fascinating tide pools with sea stars, crabs, mollusks, and more, and offers a variety of different landscapes to explore. Arrive at your accommodation in Moss Beach, and after dinner stroll through their garden or walk steps to the beach to enjoy the sunset.
The Seal Cove Inn is situated on a bluff at the edge of the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by an imposing grove of cypress trees. Guests of the inn enjoy direct staircase beach access and luxurious guest rooms overlooking the parks, ocean, and natural beauty of the area.
Today’s walk boasts fantastic, panoramic views as you climb moderately in elevation on the coastal hill route and enjoy vistas of the rugged coastline and well-known beaches such as Montara State Beach, Gray Whale Cove State Beach, and Pacifica State Beach. Arrive at your accommodation right on the coast, and fall asleep to the sound of the ocean.
Your walk today offers continued views of the coast and moderate elevation gain - taking you past notable landmarks such as Mori Point and Mussel Rock Park - before bringing you into the thriving city of San Francisco. Arrive at your historic accommodation for the evening, located just several blocks from the beach.
Please note that due to a landslide, there is a detour along this portion requiring a short 10-15 minute transfer. Details will be provided by your specialist prior to departure.
This historic Sunset District accommodation was San Francisco's first motel, which opened in 1937, just before the Golden Gate Bridge was opened. The retro-style rooms and art-deco building are a perfect taste of the funkier side of the city, catering to the relaxed, beach-loving walkers, sightseers, and surfers of San Francisco.
Your final day begins along Ocean Beach before continuing on along scenic ocean view paths to eventually bring you to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Visit the welcome center, take in the view, and walk as much of the bridge as you like before returning the way you came. Celebrate the end of a successful trip in this vibrant city, and revel in one final ocean sunset.
Located on the famous Lombard Street in the Marina District, Infinity Hotel is central to popular experiences in San Francisco. You will be within walking distance to the Presidio, Palace of Fine Arts, Chestnut Street, Pier 39, and Ghirardelli Square, while staying in a modern hotel for a comfortable city stop.
