Activity Level & Terrain
This tour is rated easy to moderate and is suitable for those in good physical condition. The daily distances range between 25 - 35 km and there are elevation gains and losses between 40 - 700 meters. Although you will be cycling along coastal mountain routes, the distances are fairly short leaving you with plenty of time to complete the day’s cycling and still have time to stop for visits in villages along the way. The terrain consists of coastal and country roads, there are no dedicated cycle paths along the Amalfi Coast and all roads are shared with other traffic. It is therefore important to always be mindful of other road users. There is also walking involved on Capri (Day 5) and in Procida and Pozzuoli (Day 7).
Navigation
As each ride is guided (English and Italian speaking guides!) you don't have to worry about finding your way.
