Self Guided Walking in Bordeaux and South West France
Bordeaux is one of the most instantly recognisable names in France, mainly due to the exceptional wine that is grown in the region, but there are many other parts to this region which provide outstanding walking opportunities. The region has a lot on offer, from its rugged coastline which leads down to the start of the dramatic Pyrenees mountain range that separates France from Spain. You can cross France and take time in this region as part of The Stevenson's Trail, or focus on what makes Bordeaux great on our Bordeaux Wine Trail.
However, throughout it all, you will always gravitate back towards those big, delicious red wines, the delicate, lesser-known whites and the heavenly, sweet and sticky Sauternes, the ideal way to finish off any meal in Bordeaux.
