This cycle tour is graded easy to moderate, ascents and descent are minimal (please see our website for a daily trip profile) and you cycle between 35-41 km each day. You should have a reasonable level of fitness to make the most out of this tour. You will follow a combination of minor roads, asphalt rural roads and occasionally along dirt roads. The routes are not technically difficult.
Navigation
We supply you with a GPS unit which is loaded with the tracks, so you will be able to easily follow the route. You will be provided with daily maps and information about the area. You will have a welcome meeting with a local guide at your first hotel, and they will be able to show you how to use the GPS unit and are there to talk you through the cycle route and assist you with any questions.
Accommodations
7 Nights accommodation is included in your trip, in rooms with a private bathroom. You’ll be staying in 2*, 3* and 4* properties in private twin rooms, which have been chosen for their ambience, hospitality and location. The accommodation we normally use is detailed in the itinerary however is subject to availability and if not available then we may use alternate accommodation of the same standard, and we will notify you on confirming your booking if this is the case. You can add extra nights at any point during your stay, just contact us to make arrangements.
Please note that the hotel we normally use at Cala Galdana operates an adults-only policy (no under 18s).
Meals
7 Breakfasts are included. Lunches and dinners are not included. Packed lunches are available from your accommodation (order the night before) or you can stop on the way or you can buy food in local markets and shops.

When To Go
You can start your Menorca by Bike tour anytime between March and mid-June, and mid-September to early November. In the peak summer months, it is too hot to cycle.
Getting to the Start
By Air: Mahón is the best airport for the tour. There are many carriers flying into Mahón Airport, including scheduled and low-cost airlines. Airlines flying to Menorca from across the UK include EasyJet, Thomson Airways, Iberia, Jet2.com.
Upon arrival you can either take a shuttle bus/public transport or a taxi to Mahón, or contact us to arrange a private transfer (supplement payable).
At the end of your cycle tour, you can take public transport (or transfer at a supplement) back to the airport; it is 50 mins by road from Ciutadella to the airport. Further information will be given in your pre-departure information pack.
Luggage Transfer
Baggage transfers included in your arrangements. Your luggage will be transferred between your accommodation each night (please limit your bags to up to 20kg per person).
General Information
The distances and ascent/descents are approximations of the recommended routes. Please be prepared by packing all necessary items, for example, proper rain gear (jacket and pants), sun hat and sun screen. Your information pack has a detailed equipment list which includes standard cycling gear such as good cycling footwear, warm and waterproof clothes for the cooler months and lightweight clothing for summer, and a day pack.
Equipment
You can hire a hybrid rental bike for the tour (optional extra, supplement payable). Bikes have 27 gears and disc brakes. They are Orbea Confort models (similar to picture shown below), full-equipped with pannier, kilometre counter and a tool kit. E-Bikes are also available.
Travel Insurance
It is a requirement of booking this tour with Macs Adventure that you have suitable travel insurance which covers you for the activity and emergency evacuation and hospital care.
