When To Go
You can start this tour on any day of the week between the middle of April and the end of June, and then again between the beginning of September and middle of October.
Ibiza and Formentera enjoy a pleasant Mediterranean climate perfect for walking. If you prefer slightly cooler temperatures and want to see the countryside at its most green then April and May are the perfect time to travel. We do not offer this tour in July and August due to the fact that the high temperatures make it too uncomfortable for walking. September is a great time to visit, and the days are still lovely and warm. In October, it starts to cool down again but is still very pleasant during the day with cooler nights.
Getting to the Start
By Air: There is only one airport in Ibiza, in the south of the island. Coming from the UK, you can fly with many of the low-cost airlines including Easyjet, Ryanair and Jet2 as well as British Airways and TUI. From Europe, airlines flying into Ibiza include KLM, Lufthansa, Vueling and Air France.
Coming from outside Europe you would fly via one of the major European hubs such as Amsterdam, London, Madrid or Paris.
We include a private taxi transfer to take you from the airport to Sant Carles (30min) and from Sant Carles to Ibiza Port on Day 5.
Getting to/from Formentera
We include a taxi transfer to take you from Sant Carles de Peralta to Ibiza Port on Day 5, and return ferry tickets between Ibiza and Formentera. On arrival in Formentera, you can take one of the many taxis waiting at the port to your hotel which should be paid locally – the cost should be approx. 20 Euros. You will also need to take a taxi from your hotel in Formentera back to the port on Day 8 – again paid locally.
There are regular buses from Ibiza Port to the airport - see http://ibizabus.com/ibiza/lineas/?route=11 for the timetables.
