When To Go

Croatia Bike & Boat sails on set departures from May to October. June to September are the hottest and busiest months and brim with life and festivals. If you prefer traveling in cooler temperatures, we suggest traveling in April, May or October. Due to the nature of this trip, regardless of the time of year, you’ll never have to stray far to find a quiet cove or picnic spot. Sailing departures are limited so we suggest confirming your plans as soon as possible to secure the sailing date of your choice.

Please note that Croatia Bike & Boat tours require a minimum number of participants for this departure to go ahead. Confirmation happens as soon as the minimum number of participants has been reached. For more information, please speak to one of our team.

Important: On certain departures of the San Snova barge there will be both hybrid and mountain bike tours operated parallel to each other on the same boat. Only hybrid tours are bookable through us. There will be two guides on board, one of which will lead the hybrid bike group and the other the mountain bike group. The grading and itinerary remain the same. This is the case for the following departures of San Snova in 2020: 02/05, 16/05, 30/05, 06/06, 13/06, 20/06, 22/08, 19/09, 26/09, 17/10 and 24/10.

Getting to the Start

By Air: Split Airport is only 6km from Trogir Harbour. It’s easy to get a taxi on arrival which should cost around €20. Should you prefer we can arrange transfers on arrival. Split Airport is served by most European and low-cost carriers.

Dubrovnik is 3 to 4-hour drive from Trogir. A private transfer can be booked or alternatively it is possible to take the bus. Tickets can be purchased from the Dubrovnik bus station, details can be accessed here. Please be aware that travel times can vary as the road from Dubrovnik to Spilt passes through the Neum Corridor (a 22 km stretch of road Bosnian coastal territory). We strongly advise allowing for extra travel time as there are often lengthy delays when passing through the Neum Corridor.

General Information

Please note that the local port taxes (€40) are to be paid locally in Croatia in Euro, not in Kuna.
