Activity Level & Terrain
This trip is graded as easy-moderate overall as the walks are fairly short and do not involve that much ascent or descent. You will be mostly walking on gravel paths and trails and occasionally on beaches and minor roads. You should have a reasonable level of walking fitness to get the most from this holiday.
Navigation
The walks on this holiday are well marked and we supply route notes and maps. You should be comfortable reading a map and following directions.
Accommodations
2 Nights accommodation in a 4* hotel, 3 nights in a 3* hotel and 2 nights in a guesthouse are included in your trip. We have carefully selected small hotels and guesthouses which we feel capture the essence of true Menorca and are in ideal locations for exploring the island. Below you will find an example of our standard accommodation.
Alternate Accommodation
During high season, you might be booked into different accommodation which is not listed in the description, and the start or end of some of your walking routes may be slightly altered. Any alternative accommodation will be of the same or better standard as those described.
Single Rooms & Solo Walkers
This trip is available to solo walkers but we recommend that you are experienced in walking and navigating alone. There is a solo walker supplement payable. Similarly, single rooms are available and a single room supplement is payable.
Meals
7 Breakfasts are included. Lunch and dinner are not included. Most accommodations are happy to provide a packed lunch– this should be requested on arrival. On some days it may be possible to stop en-route for lunch. Your route notes will have more details on this. Evening meals are available either at your hotel or nearby restaurants.

When To Go
You can start this tour anytime between the beginning of April and middle of July and the start of September and end of October. Generally the best months for walking in Menorca are May and September when the temperatures are a bit cooler. This tour is not available from mid–July until the start of September as it is too hot to walk.
Getting to the Start
By Air—Menorca has excellent flight links from most UK and European countries. Flight time from London is about 2h30.
Airlines flying from the UK include; Thomson Flights, easyJet, Monarch, and Jet2.
From the Airport—The airport is 4.5km from Mahon. Taxis are available at the terminal and shuttle buses leave every 30 minutes and cost approx. euro 1.50.
By Ferry - Ferries are available from Barcelona, Valencia and Mallorca (1hr) daily.
Luggage Transfer
Your bags will be transferred between your accommodation as per your itinerary. We ask you to limit your luggage to one bag of up to 20kg per person.
General Information
The distances and ascent/descents are approximations of the recommended routes.
Equipment
Please be prepared by packing all necessary items, for example, proper rain gear (jacket and pants), sun hat, sunscreen. Your information pack has a detailed equipment list which includes standard walking gear such as good walking boots, warm and waterproof clothes for the cooler months and lightweight clothing for summer, and a day pack.
Travel Insurance
It is a requirement of booking this tour with Macs Adventure that you have suitable travel insurance which covers you for the activity and emergency evacuation and hospital care.
